Hello. My name is April Walker and I am the CEO & Master Soapmaker at Willakenzie River Soapery in the heart of the Pacific Northwest! I began this company after years and years of watching my family struggle with intense allergies to all soaps and detergents. After trying many soaps from larger brands, including companies who claim to have sensitive skin-friendly soaps I ended up with horrible rashes and would immediately throw myself into the shower and scrub my skin till it bled to make the itching stop! I knew there had to be a better soap for others struggling with skin sensitivities. So I decided to calibrate my own soap recipe and Willakenzie was born!
When I created Willakenzie River Soapery, I had the vision to create beautifully scented, gentle soaps for families with sensitive skin that were ethically sourced from the ground up! Our Shea Butters are sourced from women in Ghana, Africa, and paid a livable wage for bringing their Shea Butter to other women all around the world. We use Cold-Pressed Coconut Oil that is HMO-Free and organic. Our Olive Oil is imported from Italy in tins and our Castor Oil is HMO-Free and ethically sourced. This being said, after 3 years of making soaps and calibrating the perfect recipe on my own; Willakenzie has achieved what we set out to do.
I am so proud to announce that we have created a beautiful base recipe free of all heavy chemicals and harsh scents with top-of-the-industry butter, oils, and Mad Micas. Our essential oils and fragrances are gentle, organic, Vegan, Sensitive skin-friendly, and ethically sourced. I promise to always put out a quality luxury product and promise to always use the best ingredients possible while still keeping down costs per bar.
